Our yard is fenced in, but she's still small enough to squeeze under it. She doesn't mind peeing outside, but can't get her to poop out there yet. We also have a huge crate for her. She does well in the crate, just not in the rest of the house. When I catch her I yell "NO", and "bad girl". I use my prison voice lol, so it's loud and firm. We just can't wait til she gets out of this puppy phase. I feel bad because she's a lot of work, and I'm out all day, so it's just her and my gf.

We used an app called Puppy Potty Log.

You log the times you feed, and when they go, either outside or accident in the house. It starts to give reminder to take the pup outside. It worked pretty good, especially when there are multiple people trying to help.

rule one, no wee wee pads. crate the pup if you cant show your full attention to them and what they are doing. after the dogs been asleep mine was crated, take them from the crate carry if need be, bring them out side and they will piss or dump. as you do this over a few weeks time they will learn this place that smells of piss out side is where i should be peeing.

you also need to watch them for the "look" as i would call it, my dog would start sniffing the floor then arch its back some, and you knew he was gonna piss or dump. id yell out side and he be at the door asap. had him house broken in like 2 weeks. got him at 8 weeks, barking at the door to go out 2 weeks later. still had to be there to watch em for a few more months cause if your not there whats to stop em from ******* where they want to, why the crate is perfect. dogs generally will not piss, crap where it sleeps, or eats. ( unless left in there for way to long)

i had a Weimaraner. very smart but stubborn breed, super active for a large dog, like most dogs a switch goes off at 2 years old and they just chill, not this dog, took 5 years for that switch to go off and it was not even full blown chill. he wanted to be part of the action, if we were up all night, so was he, sitting in the circle all the time.




he had a load of stupid pet tricks under his belt too.

oh. always walk them after they been fed, taking a dump is a 100% gonna happen lol

That kind of training doesn’t work with Huskies or Malamutes ( mines both). They’re the most stubborn dogs known to mankind and I swear they like pain. Probably why they can run for 100 miles through snow pulling a sled. I tried training my previous dog, a Husky, with punishment/ pain and it definitely did not work. At one time, he was starting to dig under the fence and I bought a shock collar. I got the most aggressive one made, with steel teeth that went through his fur into his skin. I would hit the button with it set on max and he’d just look at me. I thought there’s no way this things working so I took it off and held it while I hit the button. I swear it was like getting hit by a taser- it knocked me down. It never did anything to him except raise his curiosity. I learned positive reinforcement works better for these breeds. My current dog is an awesome boy now, never bit anyone or anything except a couple squirrels. He’s super smart too. Learns tricks immediately, even hand signals. But if I try to get one bit aggressive with him, all bets are off. I learned to never try to punish him or force him to do anything- it does not work.

damn thats a monster dog. tased, turns and gives ya the look like hey would just stop that already lol

i was never a fan of huskys. i just dont like their eyes, they got eyes i could never trust.

the lip on the tooth deal was at 8-14 weeks tops, stopped all that mouthy crap pretty fast. older dog this would never work on. you need that moldable clay part of life. i also used to pop bags shake cans of coins, just stomp my foot at random times. gets em over the fear of loud noises, aka fire works and thunder. he pointed a large bottle rocket one 4 th. i never laughed so hard, some hunting dog lol. took him to a weim club hunt meet, not next to us, but gun shots could be heard in the distance, his ears just perked up. one of the hunters was like thats always a good sign. then he let him sniff a wing of a bird and he was on it like a fat kid on cake lol im not a hunter, but im sure my dog would have loved it.

Glad your truck is up and running! Cute pup! I don’t have any and I the four that I take care of when I house for the best friends parents drive me absolutely insane. But I love them haha.

That’s funny. Huskys have the most kind loving eyes of any breed. Their almond shape is soothing to people. My boy melts the hearts of everyone he runs into. Especially females. He’s a big baby. I was working on them at their “moldable” time of their lives, I know how to train these breeds. The same training that works on one breed doesn’t work on all.

I made the mistake of training my Doberman to ring a bell hanging from the back door knob when he needed to go out. The problem was that he seemed to always "need" to go out. He'd get increasingly aggressive (read: "annoying") with that bell. He'd come in after being outside for a while and almost immediately be ringing the bell and staring at me.

It's "sploot". "Sploof" is a filter for weed smoke. Also used in reference to a wasted hit (from a joint, bông, etc.)
