My Chevy app

I would consider this an electronic item if it isn’t it needs to place in a different subform but all means please move it


Anyways I use the app to start my car to lock it and I’ll kinds of stuff but I’ve noticed lately but it saying and his service always critical items I had OnStar check it recently and there is no issues they recommend I remove the app and then re-download it which I did but I’m still getting the same bogus service notifications. Anyone else using the app have this issue?

It doesn’t nag me with notifications or anything like that I might have notifications turned off to my iPhone but when I open the app the first thing that pops up is these diagnostic notifications, my next guess is possibly the device I have plugged into the OBDII Is causing the app to wig out. the device is used to cancel out four-cylinder mode. I’m concerned eventually it will damage something but maybe not? Truck runs fine

I had a similar issue where the app was not showing status nor allowing me to use the remote features. (2021 RST) I called Onstar and they downloaded new S/W. Problem fixed. The new S/W added a signal strentgh meter for my data connection next to the cell phone signal strentgh indicator.

I’ll try calling them and see if they can bump the firmware in my radio “on star part”

Do you have to have onstar enabled/subscription for any of the app functions to work?

Yeah, when I had it mostly for the remote app functions a few years ago it was only like $15/month. Then it went up to like $29/month a couple years later and I was like no way, not just for remote locking/unlocking and starting from anywhere in the world, lol
