It certainly says there's a problem with the second row seat, not that it's missing, smh. For all we know, it's cracked/broken/loose. pretty hard to have a completely missing seat when there's no second row seat delete option.
considering there is no markup and it's a new vehicle and a seat is only $750 on the used market, I would have it home and 2nd row seat in it already and driving along my merry little way, but that's just me.

Yes, my same view since you own vehicle and anything that happens to vehicle is on you like cut off catalytic converter, dents, scratches and also this lawsuit that happened in Michigan. I don't like leaving my vehicles at Dealer and in this situation wouldn't have paid for vehicle until fixed, https://www.revolt.tv/article/2022-...ler Jeep Dodge dealership, according to FOX 2.

Reading that it sounds very frivolous at best but none the less a major headache for the vehicle owner.
that's like saying if a drunk driver hits your parked car and your car then lurches forward and kills a child, that the impacted vehicle owner would be responsible for the childs death instead of the drunk driver.....

Off topic but 17 years ago purchased new SRX and in working bugs out of vehicle had in for service .Service writer and tech took vehicle for test drive and I didn't find this out until they called me to come get car it was done so I go out to vehicle and had circle scratches across front and left fender.Didn't unlock or start vehicle went back to service writer and ask what happen and he at time said he didnt know after general manager got involved talked to tech and service writer found out they were setting on cross road to enter four lane road a semi came by with cable stuck in tire flopping around and wire hit my car which made circle like scratches. Then fun starts told me to turn in to my insurance which I refused long story short they fixed my insurance rates didn't go up, but value of vehicle went down. And in reading the link on Michigan incident I'm thinking of having my lawyer draw up paper for dealer representative to sign that releases me from anything that happens when leaving vehicle at dealership or repair. From what I see in my state what happens went your vehicle at repair shop you are responsible for something accidental.

Checking back in on this thread I started; to confirm, the 2nd row bench seat is in the vehicle but they told me it wasn't functioning properly and wasn't safe to use so they ordered a new seat (the larger driver's side of the bench).
About a week after I sent the email to the [email protected] email address, I got an email response stating I would hear back from a "senior service advisor" within 2-3 days and that email also gave me a service request number and included the 1-800-222-1020 number. I tried calling the number for a few days and eventually got a hold of my advisor who said the part should come this month. She didn't sound very convincing, so I raised a stink about it and my dealer called back yesterday to say they heard from GM and the part should be in this week.
I also called the dealer a few days ago to tell them I was going to come in and get my vehicle, just to take the broken seat out and I could use the 3rd row and one remaining 2nd row seat for the kids. They told me they could not release the vehicle to me without the seat as it's a "safety" issue. I argued that if the seat isn't there and one can't sit in it, how is that a safety issue? Anyway, I was preparing to drive over there to speak with the manager in person and demand the vehicle I paid for, but I guess at this point I'll see if the seat comes in this week like they say it will.

half full verses half empty... I understand where you are coming from, believe me. I had vehicle out of my hands, sitting at the dealer, for 60+ days in the first 11 months, ~28 in the first month of ownership. At many points, I just wanted MY vehicle in my hands.

OTOH, I got a Tahoe rental (most of the time), and was able to put the miles on that car, so a minor plus there. At least they are providing you a vehicle, and working on fixing it. There have been some threads here about people having cars in for (major) service and the dealer doesn't provide for anything - it is up to the owner to rent, and contact GM for the reimbursement. Good luck.

Yep, my air bag issue was a “safety” issue, but without hesitation both visits I was rented a Yukon or surburban each time at no cost. I think when it comes to safety or liability, they don’t take chances with customers wanting/getting an unsafe vehicle back without being fixed.

Check ebay... I ordered my rubber floor mats in early April from a local dealer... one month later and i still didn't get so much as a courtesy phone call to give me anupdate. I go on ebay the day I requested a refund, and I get the exact same rubber mats without the "GMC" logo by the end of that same week.

Good luck on your search. That part is being sold out there outside of the GM network, you just have to find it.
