2017 Yukon XL build/picture thread.

Hope this is the right place to post this. Thought I would start a thread showing our ride along with all the mods I'll be doing over time. I've always found it helpful when I've thought about doing something if I could find someone else who's done the same thing to see pictures of or get feedback from. I'll be adding items and pictures as things are done.

2017 Yukon XL SLT. I think it's pretty much loaded, not sure what options were available that it doesn't have cause it seems to have it all! It's got the 5.3l as I didn't want to mess with the 6.2/8-speed issues that seem to be hit or miss.

Welcome to active participation on the Forum. Lots of folks here will be interested in your mod additions, so documenting them in a build thread will definitely be helpful.

Got the rear end suspension completely pulled apart. Fighting the weather but wanted to do it outside cause of the paint. Current mods I'm working on:

Power Stop Z36 Brake Kit
Belltech 2/3 drop
Arnott Rear Shocks
Sand and Rustoleum undercarriage

Even though it's newer and it's not horrible yet the car was originally from MN so some rust is forming. Figured I might as well try and knock most of it down while I'm in there.

Looking forward to seeing the Z36 brake kit installed with photos and to hear your thoughts on it afterwards.

Nice Yukon XL. Excellent work!

Weather has been crappy but at the point of putting things back together. Doing it outside because of all the rust dust and paint.

Just curious but for those that installed Arnott 3066 shocks what did you do with the wires on non MRC rigs?

Got everything buttoned up and alignment done. Here are a few pictures till I can get it washed and take better ones. Hopefully getting new grill installed this week.

Got the rear emblem Plasti Dipped. 5 coats of black and 2 coats of Glossifier.
