Today I sent baby girl off for her third transmission, hoping for a good one! Need to get atleast 250k outta this pig. I never have seen it puff any oil smoke on a start up, but it certainly had some today that went away quick hope it’s normal for a old vehicle that sat for a month or more in the cold.

Looks like it’s working pretty good. What are you using for solvent?

About a half gallon of the super heavy duty degreaser from harbor freight, a scoop of tide ultra oxi, and a splash of this purple shit from my buddy's work.
When I did some rocker arms I scrubbed them with diesel/psc1000, then put them in a Tupperware and squirted dawn on them and ran hot water on them until the soap was gone. Then filled it up with hot water and a splash of the yellow and the purple degreaser, and they didn't take much with a nylon brush to come completely clean.
I also was melting the painting of the inside of that parts washer today at 197°. Probably need to try and keep it around 150 next time, lol

Went on ahead and tried vinyl wrap out for first time. I’ve Been painting for 15 years and I must say the learning process of vinyl is very frustrating. Finish product looks pretty good though.

I wrapped all the dash pieces on an 08 Silverado LT so I know what you mean. After some practice it’s amazing what you can do though.
