I have a 2007 GMC Denali with the 6.2l. It has about 190k miles on it. About the last 10k or so I have been dealing with the P0011 and the stabilitrak lights. I did several deep forum dives and have replaced the following. The position sensor, actuator and magnet....did not fix it. Then I dropped the oil pan and replaced the pickup o-ring....no luck. So then I decided to replace the magnet and actuator again (first time wasnt with OEM due to availability). After the last the oil pressure has been reading high (60-70) and the light stayed off....for awhile. Came back on today. Truck has NEVER driven poorly during all of this, but still throwing codes.
I have no idea where to go from here. It seems this is a fairly common problem but not a straightforward repair.
Any ideas are welcomed.
Thank you!

How is the harness for the cam position sensor? A damaged wire in there could cause what you're experiencing. It's a fairly easy part to replace. How has the engine been maintained? I've read of people having trouble with the VVT system in a gunked up engine.

Worst case, you could swap in a non-VVT cam and get a BB tune to get rid of it. I went that way when I did the cam swap in my 2012, in part to eliminate any potential VVT headaches.

Side note: you're in the mileage range when it's time to replace the fuel pump. I had to do mine on my 2007 Xl Denali at around 208K because I was getting CEL and stabilitrak off messages. Different CEL code in my case, but it's something to be ready for in the next 10-20K, I suspect.

I had it for the last 6 years and 75k miles. I'd say I maintain it pretty well. Mobil one oil, try to keep on top of any maintenance issues. I will definitely look at the harness. Thanks

Any luck with the harness? I’ve had the same issues.

Did the fuel pump fix your stabilitrak issues? So many things effect that system!

So here's an update to this post. I have replaced everything I can think of and everything I've read online related to this code. I've replaced the sensor, actuator and magnet x2, the oil pickup ring, the oil pressure sensor, the brake pedal sensor, the fuel pump and the camshaft position sensor wiring harness as well as multiple oil changes. No luck, light still comes on. The truck has still never run poorly during all of this but the light continues to come on with the same codes. I last used Mobil 1 extended performance high mileage and someone is telling me that's why.

Okay, the only thing I can think of at this point is to get a Tech2 clone and start looking at codes being set in all of the modules to spot your smoking gun. The way I knew mine was the fuel pump was with the Tech2 showing temporary codes for high fuel pressure on the rail in addition to the codes that triggered the CEL.

I use the same oil in my '07 when I can get it on sale. No problems noted.
