hi, I’m considering buying a 2022 diesel Chevy suburban from out of state of California. Do they still makes 49 states vehicles emissions or most of the trucks are 50 states compliance now? Please help!.

I believe there is a CA Emissions option that has to be selected when ordering for vehicles sold in CA.
I also believe there is an Override which can be selected which puts California emissions on a vehicle not shipped to California.
There are also emissions requirements for the "Northeast" states (CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OREGON, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT AND WASHINGTON STATE) which can be ordered, or overridden.

Best to check w/ your dealer, I am not sure what the combo you need is, but here are the emissions related RPO's for the 22 Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban:
YF5 -- California
FE9 -- Federal
NE1 -- NE Region
NB8 -- Override CA/NE Region
NC7 -- Override, Federal
NB9 -- Override, State

I do know if you want to register a new (less than 7500 mile car) in CA, it must meet CA emissions requirements.

My guess would be that many of the selling dealers near the CA border order their vehicles in w/ the proper Override so it shows up and can be registered in CA.

Good luck.

Update: Just found this link which has more txt explaining the various options.
From my read, it looks like if you are buying the vehicle in a state that does NOT have YF5 or NE1 requirements, you need to have it ordered as NC7 and YF5.
If you are buying it in a state that does have NE1 requirements, you would need it to have NB9 and YF5

I think at this point, there really isn't much difference in the vehicles and their emissions, rather the paperwork which has to be there to satisfy the bureaucrats, but, check w/ the dealer. After you do, let us know!
