After looking through a lot of the threads on this forum, it appears most of you with a leveling or lift kit have a chevy tahoe, not a gmc yukon. The fine print on the RC leveling kit says does not work on yukon. Are they just assuming all yukons have magneride or adaptive air ride? We have an XL and it for sure has premium smooth ride suspension so shouldn't this be the exact same premium smooth ride suspension that comes on a tahoe or suburban?

Les Schwab told me they have a leveling kit in stock that fits my yukon but nobody anywhere else says they have one, not even the GM dealer. The Schwab kit is a simple 2" coil spacer for the front only. I kind of like the RC kit that has a spacer for the rear as well for $99. The Schwab kit is right around $400 all said and done including an alignment so might cost me a tad more but maybe I should just have them do it since they claim they can?

I went in to the local Les Schwab to get a few more details about the leveling kit they quoted me the other day. It is a 2" front only made by Tuff Country and they say they show NOTHING else available for this vehicle. Problem is my yukon is only 1.25" higher in the rear than the front so a 2" front kit is only going to give me reverse rake. Looks like I'll be shopping for rims and tires for now and waiting on a level kit...

Have you considered height adjustable shocks? I used Bilstein 5100s on my 2016 Suburban to increase the front height 1.5”. Pricier than a spacer but I found the ride with the Bilsteins to be much more controlled than the stock setup. Looked on CarId and they appear to be compatible with your Yukon.

I had not considered height adjustable shocks. I didn't think it would be this difficult to find a leveling kit for this vehicle as they are an extremely common thing for many trucks and suvs. It's crazy how smooth this yukon rides so I'm a little leary about changing out the factory shocks to anything else, especially with only 5k miles on the vehicle. I've seen some 1" or 1.25" lower mount leveling kits that people are using on tahoes so I think I'm going to order one. I watched some install videos and looked under my ride and it looks really quite simple to install. I really can't imagine these kits work on a tahoe but not a yukon

Yeah that is definitely the simplest option. A spacer may impact the ride quality as well, but if it’s a negative change you can always remove it and not have invested too much into it.

I have confirmation from the dealership that in fact the premium smooth ride suspension used on a yukon xl is the exact same parts used on a suburban. I would assume that is also true of the shorter yukon and a tahoe. Just an FYI if anybody else was wondering. I am going to have the dealer install the RC 11200 leveling kit made for a suburban on my yukon on Dec. 20th (fine print says it doesn't work on a yukon) and I will report back with the results

So I have a 2019 Yukon XL Denali and had a RC leveling kit installed in December. The ride is much stiffer than before. Any way that I can smooth it out any?

What did the leveling kit consist of? Just spacers or new strut assemblies?

You should post this in the correct forum (this is for model ‘21 and up).
