No Auto Start/Stop on 6.2 Yukons?

Hey all,

I saw something interesting when configuring a 22 Yukon on the GMC website (maybe this is old news) - when you expand the "Mechanical" section I found this:

Automatic Stop/Start

At complete stops, when drivers keep their foot on the brake pedal, and under certain conditions, the engine shuts off

When drivers remove their foot from the brake, the engine automatically restarts

Includes disable button with each engine cycle

Vehicles built with a V8 engine will have Not Equipped with Automatic Stop/Start, which removes Automatic Stop/Start, Engine control stop/start disable button and its content. Contact a dealer for details on a specific vehicle

Vehicles not equipped with Automatic Stop/Start will be less fuel efficient

Does this mean any new 5.3s and 6.2s do not have Auto Start/Stop by default for Yukons? I'm guessing this means the DM does have Auto Start/Stop? Can anyone confirm?

My Yukon SLT 5.3 that was built on 1/7/22 has start/stop. They have added that back.

They did at one point not build them with start/stop due to chips but they brought it back recently.

That sucks. AS/S is garbage. Lucked out on my wifes Denali….was built w/o. Looks like my AT4 will have it. My current expedition has it, but i put the start/stop eliminator on it the first day I had it in my garage. Works flawlessly.

No Auto Start/Stop on 6.2 Yukons?
