Hey I have a 2019 premier Tahoe with full bolt ons, a stage 2 Texas speed cam, and a 2.9l whipple supercharger. Does anyone know what the stock diff gear is on these trucks? Has anyone gotten a higher gear ratio for their truck and did it make the truck more fun to drive? Thanks in advance

I believe the standard is a 3.08.

Standard is mostly 3.08
Z71 had a 3.42 option.

Aftermarket for anything else

You may want to look into a convertor before gears it is a 4wd....

A convertor will help as well...get the rpm into a better area of the curve with that cam, and create a little more boost at take off

I reckon with a 2.9 supercharger you have a 6.2 motor? Did that year also use the 10-speed transmission? Is she a dog off the line now?

No I have the 5.3 with the 6 speed and it’s RWD. The car is great off the line I’m just looking for any other mods I can do to make it better. What do you guys think about 3.73 gears? It’s my daily so I don’t want anything too crazy.

3.42 or 3.73, since it's rwd it's cheaper than doing both axles, my last pickup was 3.73 it made it pretty snappy
you can probably find 3.42 axle to swap in pretty easily which is cheaper to do, might be hard to find a 3.72 oem axle though because those are going to be on the pickups and the suspension is different.
as a bonus you will get increased towing capacity.

So I can’t just change the gear I have to change the whole axle?

Yes you can change the pinion, but generally speaking it is cheaper to just axle swap
I could be wrong though I would check the cost of swapping the axle versus changing the pinion.
used axles are in abundance all over

that is a loaded question

a decent brand rear gear and install kit, probably 400 ish in parts...then labor

where as a salvageable rear axle from a wreck may be 6-800 and up depending on location
