Hello, new guy here.
I'm hoping to score a Tahoe PPV this weekend at the local auction. One use of the 2nd battery would be a power source for Ham radio or other type of radio comms. At least that's my plan if I win what I want. Thanks, Jim KK4CWO
Well my attempt to get a PPV last weekend was a bust. I was working a Ham Radio Fest in Plant city and couldn't get on line to keep my bid up. Maybe next month and I'll stay home on online to follow the full bid. Also go with a higher max bid.

Well a couple of weeks ago the auction didn't work out since I was working a Ham Radio Fest in Plant City FL. I lose out. On the other hand my wife did sign off a on nice looking 07 Red suburban LS which I picked up Christmas eve. Good condition but has dry rot tires and crap rims. So I'm ordering PPV steel rims and new tires. Also will need a service. wife put me on a budget so I don't go crazy spending. :D

I need to install my HF radio soon, Need to find some bonding straps for the door, hatch and roof rails. Do the PPVs have everything bonded for electronic inference? I'll be installing a Yaesu FT857d with a ATAS-130 antenna. Thinking about doing the 2nd battery in the engine bay also.

Both of mine have radio suppression packages in them.

For 6A6 (DUAL CRANKING 730 CCA BATTERIES), it is dual batteries setting with parallel connection without isolator relay in 2007 model.

5W4 (IDENTIFIER FOR SPECIAL SERVICE VEHICLE) is a Pro Code for police option package, which includes following options:

(K47) high-capacity air cleaner,
(KW7) 170 amps high output alternator,

(K4B) 730 cold-cranking amp auxiliary battery, electrical power and vehicle signals for customer connection located at the center front floor, auxiliary
battery circuit for customer connection located in the rear cargo area,

(UN9) radio suppression package,
(NZZ) underbody shield, delete roof rails,
(ATD) third row seat delete and
(NQH) active 2-speed transfer case.
Super awesome info. I just picked up a 2011 PPV today. I'm now learning that since it's a 4x4, it's NOT a PPV and instead an SSV? Is that correct? Are they also lowered like the 2wd PPV's? Thanks so much
