we got it - flew to Montana and drove it back to Colorado. Drives perfectly, and made the 12-hour trip home through extreme winter conditions with ease, including an unexpected closure of I25 (and overnight stay) at Douglas Wyoming. Got about 14-15 mpg doing 80 mph most of the way, and blasted through the icy and slushy weather with ease, rotating the dial into/out of 4wd seamlessly between 60-70 mph when necessary. Never once ever skipped a beat - hauled itself along like a rock star.

Nice, congrats! Looks like a beast. Also looks like someone removed the side trim unless the 2500s came without it.

yep it's a 'gentle giant'. Funny you mention the trim - we think it came without it, and we actually do want to install it. Finding nice body-colored NOS pieces might be fun - maybe I'll try the dealers...

For the most part they will now come unpainted. Many 2500s came without them.

She's a beauty! 50 psi up front and 60 psi out back? You can also run the transfer case in Auto in that bad weather. Like that it also has the body colored splash shields. Looks to be very well optioned, about as much as one could get in an SLT.

FYI, at first glance those do not appear to be the original towing mirrors. Looks like the later ones used on the K2s, which is fine, they have more features.

Did you order a Tech-2 to go with it?

I got one, and it has been handy!
Paid probably $350 or so (iirc).

Wifes car was also limited to one that would be compatible... she was not very happy with that.
So she found something fancy that she liked.

Super handy for diagnosing everything, from engine stuff, to door switches, seats, power liftgate, etc.
My first few hours with my tech2, i found it fun to adjust the seats by module, heated seats on and off, windows up, down, mirrors, and to engage the power liftgate.

Most useful so far has been the transmission adapts, and the ABS bleed procedure.
My brake fluid was probably original.
Purple, and thick. :disgust:
bad enough that it gummed up the brake bleed screws when i tried flushing the first go around. :jester:

Hello all. Looking at a nice 2013 Yukon. It appears to have an 'above-average' (?) gap between the hood and grill, and I'm just looking for feedback about this front clip compared to all others. Scanning google pics there seem to be gaps on many - not sure if this one is bigger, and what that might indicate? Carfax indicates it was in a 'minor' front end mishap - not sure if that's a think or not, but I'd doubt it will have any effect n how it drives, etc. If we get it I'll want to 'tighten it up' a bit if possible. Here's a pic -
