I removed the rear (2nd row) seats. Should have done this years ago, as I never have passengers and it freed up lots of space.

The 2nd row never folded really well into a flat surface so they were more of an aggravation than anything.

Pics of the truck, please.

I did a similar task, but with my 3rd row seats. I've used them only once in the entire time that I've owned this truck.

seems odd they didnt fold flat. all 4 of my trucks do/did.

however my tahoe did not have a 3rd row when i got it as he kept it for the newer one he got. which is fine, as the cargo area is small enough i would never have it in anyway.

my burb i leave 3rd out unless i need it. which is rare because we have hers

her denail is the opposite, it stays in unless we need the room. ( which hopefully swapping the front seats in the burb that she can be more comfortabe in it, then i wont have to take her seat out as much because we can take the burb.

I took out the second row and built drawers for the rear cargo area about 8” tall. Plus a separate cabinet level with the drawers to cover the second row area. So now I have lots of storage below and a level surface for sleeping if I should ever want to. There’s pics in my thread in the Under Construction area.

I took them out on my Esky too. I would never use them, I got 2 kids, and 2 doggos.

The new owner had 4 kids, and desperately wanted them! I think she was just glad to get out of her Ford Windstar!
