Tony I don’t have the money to fix. After the FD came they soaked it. They had no choice. My neighbors and I put the fire out but it started again so FD soaked it. Not sure if water got in the wrong place. And I need a vehicle.

I didn't know if the fire was covered under any kind of insurance. If you just had collision insurance, like many people do on a rig of that age, then of course not covered. I would have assumed that under full coverage there may be accidental coverage of some sort. Plus, trying to fix fire damage is an unknown and hard to get a loan to cover that with no insurance pay out. You can always go finance another rig, like you are doing. Too bad you can't find another low mileage NBS, unless you already wanted to jump up to the NNBS.

Whatever way you come out the other side of this looks good. The parting out can be kind of fun as I have done it before years ago when I got out of 4wheeling. I had rolled my rig at "Potato Salad Hill" at Moab and instead of rebuilding, I parted out and scrapped the rest. Having had a 2002 Tahoe LT before I bought my current Tahoe, I felt pretty bad about what I saw in those pics. It can happen to anyone. Sucks to be sure. Good luck.

I had one burn to the ground in front of me. It’s heartbreaking watching the FD do their stuff. Especially when they get the jaws out to cut the hood off to get in there.
