Headlight Help: NO High Beams

I don't do a lot of night driving, but a couple days ago I noticed that
when I put on my "brights"... I have NO Headlights

Dims and Fogs work just fine..
I do have that Doo Hickey that will keep the fogs on when I go to bright mode.
I've checked everything I can think of.
The bulbs are less than a year old, so I don't think it's that as the dims are always on and
they still work fine..
It is just the Brights. I have checked both L and R 10 amp fuses in the engine comp and
swapped the relay with another and no change... I have gotten things apart
under the dash to check the wiring of the aftermarket device- it looks/feels fine.. It's just
a basic "bridge" between 2 wires with a diode between it. And the fogs stay on when I go
to bright, so it's still working correctly.

Please Help me Troubleshoot !!

I unhooked the aftermarket diode that keeps the fogs ON while in bright mode..
NO Change.. I checked all the relays that are associated with headlights - switched
them out with non related relays - No Change

I guess I'll have to pull the headlights PITA- and see if by some weird
coincidence that both Brights burned out at the exact same time...
which i think has got to be about impossible

A couple different ways to diagnose blown bulbs with a meter from the relay if you think for a bit. But what you need to know is there power and ground at the bulb?

I got the bumper/grill/wheelhousing removed.. I had another set of 9008 bulbs here..
Plugged in the new one and WHAMO have both filaments working.
So, problem found.. Bad bulbs.. ( I have yet to do the Right Side)

This is the weirdest thing, I have never had 2 bulbs burn out at exactly the same time.
and these are the premium Wagner H13 9009LGL BULBS
And it's the BRIGHTS only.. which rarely get used

I just looked and these WAGNER BULBS only have a 60 day warranty... What a crock
I won't ever buy WAGNER BULBS for any of my personal fleet or any of my customers'
cars ever again...
Waste of TIME and MONEY
I've got some Phillips 9008 XV that I might try - although the warranty from Rockauto says "no warranty"

I also put on order some LED from amazon to try out - not an LED fan in halogen housing kinda guy-
but I did buy the quality ones -

It says foglight at the end, but the H13/ 9008 IS the correct part for my rig

Make sure that you install the LED headlights with the correct alignment, or they will be useless. I see that the brand/model that you selected are adjustable, so you will have the opportunity to adjust them to the correct alignment.

I have read a few reviews about adjusting them... But not confident about it ..
Guess I'll figure it out . They are supposed to show up today.
Will I have to adjust them after i reinstall the housings? Or is it just
a generic adjustment out of the box when new??

PITA to get right. Rotating bulb in housing. Set screw lock usually. I don't like LEDS.

The actual adjustment mechanism is different for different brands/models, but the instructions supplied with the LEDs (or an installation guide on their product web site) should guide you through the process.

Bottom line, the popsicle stick in the LED headlight holding the LED chips needs to be as close to vertical as possible, after installed and locked into place in the headlight housing, with the LED chips pointing to the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. The photo of the guide below, while not for your specific brand/model, will give you a visual sense of how these LED headlights need to be positioned in a correct alignment within the headlight housing.

The instruction were pretty good .. Just had to make sure they were at
the 3 and 9 oclock position.. which they were...
Gonna take it out and drive it and see how they work tonight.
I hope I like them as they are a pita to change out again !!
