Any of you guys ever replaced the oil galley diverter (barbell)? If I dropped this off at the shop with the rear cover kit/seal for them to do, would they even know about this ? Factory is like $8, considering the billet tighter tolerance one instead while it’s apart. I’m guessing most mechanics wouldn’t bother with this normally, but it could possibly leak.

I didn’t think about it when I had the trans off and did the rear main but wish I would have. I would use the billet one. The shop better know what it is or they shouldn’t be in business.

The first one I bought I didn’t notice had film applied so when I pulled it off there went the heater grid. Not sure why someone tinted a super dark glass but it wrecked the heater grids. The second one the yard replaced it with had 3 small breaks in the grid lines that I repaired.
I have always put 5% on top of the factory tint, keeps prying eyes out

Tint on the back window never looks good, it’s always got bubbles and once it goes on, you’ll destroy the defroster grids if you want to pull it off. I can’t see through my factory tint in the rear. The tint on that hatch glass I bought looked like the usual terrible bubble job and I didn’t even think about that grid. I just grabbed that stuff and ripped it off the glass. And went oh shit.

Did it to both of mine, easiest way I found was to drill a small hole in the old plastic one and screw a self tapping screw into give you something to hold on to pull it out. The new billet one slides right in and has a threaded hole in case you need to remove it.

My "mechanic" was supposed to do this. I even gave him the billet one. I HOPE he did it :(
