I have an 06 Yukon with a 3” & 2” leveling kit. I’m running 33” tires on it. I want to upgrade my brakes and I am looking at hawk and power stop. Anybody have any opinions?

Had Powerstop drilled and slotted Rotors with their carbon fiber/ceramic pads on my Camry. Stopped great. Rotor runout was within spec (within 2/1000’s). I have Hawk pads with OEM rotors on my Yukon. Stops great!

I think you’ll be happy with either company (although I’ve never tried Hawk rotors).

I am assuming you have hydro boost brake system and whatever you use and the system is working properly, you will have great stopping power. If you had vacuum brake system then I would want as much rotor surface and carbon fiber pads as I can get. I had an 02 LT and now have a 2005 Z71 with hydro boost. The difference is up top for sure.

Do the nnbs front rotor and caliper upgrade with good pads and you will have a great performing brake system for a few hundred bucks. The rear MB’s brakes are better than the nnbs so just keep those and upgrade pads and/or rotors.
