Other then the french fries, find anything good? It's always like a treasure hunt when you take apart a used vehicle.

LOL not this time. They were for sure Braum's fries though! Final count was a bunch of lost fast food receipts, several pens, some small toys, a battery and probably $5 in change but it was so nasty I sucked it all up and dumped it. There were some dryer sheets that had been caught up under the driver's seat, I guess that was a substitute for actually cleaning.

I once found the full wallet and checkbook from the previous owner jammed behind the glove box in a truck. The guy was really happy to have it back, thought it had been stolen.

So I'm at $1,471 for parts to date, not including supplies or tools, but I am further along than I anticipated for the money. Not having to do ball joints, tires, etc. has been good for the budget. I still have to address the fuel tank leak, hopefully that's a cracked fitting or a line and not the pump then I am planning to take care of the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, oil pressure sending unit, and valve cover gaskets. After that, with a few more "test" miles it should be ready for driver status then finish the exterior cosmetic stuff at an easier pace. Not bad progress for 6 days I think (bought last Saturday). Here's the current parts list.

The durofoam seat bottom is in, and I made some repairs on the seat back. It felt a little soft because the wings were split where it wraps the seat frame. So I glued the foam together, cut some canvas drop cloth an stuffed it back in the cover. It feels like new.
