I searched in every way I could think, but it appears just about anyone who has done a mirror upgrade on a PPV here has gone with the backup camera mirror. Hoping someone has done the auto dim/compass/ambient mirror swap. From what little I can find elsewhere online, if the OEM mirror doesn't already display the ambient temperature, this isn't "plug and play". I am sure in that case I can add an ambient sensor, I did the same for my dad's on Canyon.

Wanted to see what you all have done and had to add/change to get a mirror retrofit working properly.

TIA

I think this mirror is auto dim.20210115_145634.jpg 20210115_145643.jpg
Installed it in my Express van. Came from an 01-02--I think. I installed an outside temp sensor behind the grill where it can get fresh cold air, and it works great. Van originally came with a non pwr mirror.

I put an auto dim in mine... but it doesn't have temp or compass... didn't see the point seeing as its already in the heads up display on the dash when I'm driving... the auto dim was plug and play...
