My apologies... guess I was meaning to say VNC (vehicle noise control) mic.

I think he's blowing a little smoke there, the mic he is referring to is found in the roof console, not in the center console, and there is no reference to "vnc" except merceds benz
the uqa amp is the same as uq7 and those are referenced in nbs vehicles and pickups, the new system in the k2xx is now referenced as audiopilot which came about around 2014
even the higher end Caddilac coupes use the roof mic's and a calculation of drivetrain noise that data comes from the ecm that system is called ELR

I'm not sating it doesn't exist but there is nothing out there about it and I read up and all of this before when I was trying to figure out how to disable the ANC without tearing my headliner up.

Anything is possible. I assumed he knew more than me since he had swapped to the "smart" amp which took some digging into wiring harnesses to accomplish.

Either way, makes me no nevermind... lol

My factory head unit has an Audiopilot setting in the menu

ya the stock system is not worth the time unless your just bored and have nothing better to do, lol I couldn't wait to yank that bose crap out of the silverado sounds so much better now even with the stock headunit. On the Denali I swapped the headunit and added the subs and a amp and disabled the anc and it doesn't sound half bad

Changing the HU to something aftermarket makes a noticeable difference with the Bose amp for sure.

I have a 6 channel JL Audio amp that I would eventually like to swap over to but haven't felt like going to the trouble as of yet.

That will require getting rid of the Bose sub enclosure to make room for the amp and either tapping into the speaker wires at the factory amp or running all new wiring to the doors, so I'm in no hurry to open that can of worms... lol

I have been pretty happy with the bose and the added subwoofer in the Denali thus far, I can drown out screaming crying kids if need be lol, there is a pretty noticeable difference when the anc is disabled, the anc does what it is designed to do but it cripples the sound at the same time
