Considering 21 Tahoe LT or Z71

We are trying to see how the quality of the new Tahoe has been fully understanding that it is a first year redesign. We also test drove the 21 Sequoia, while it is a nice SUV, the issue is that its dated since its on a 12 year old platform where they have only done minor updates. The other thing that gets me is that its a damn tank getting only 13 mpg city/17 hwy while the Tahoe gets 17/20.

Just looking for some thoughts and feedback since I know that GM has had its fair share of reliability issues for years and while Toyota is a bit better in that dept, I feel for what you pay with their price tags they don't offer enough for their vehicles being on older platforms for years. I think the Sequoia is due for a full redesign in 2022/2023.

I can't believe the price tags on these taking a decent $5-10k bump over the last generation. We are looking at fully equipped LT or even hopping to the Z71. Not sure that we want to pay the price tag of the Premier, but I've seen some dealers have some decent prices on the Premier here and there.

I was in this boat a month ago.. except we went from a '18 traverse to a '20 (wifes vehicle, we lease these) and I got a '21 burb. from what i can tell (and i may be wrong) they are the same packages with the suspension/appearance/offroad features on the z71. I have had mine for about a month and love it so far. Keep in mind they went to independent suspension so they got rid of the solid axle in the rear and flattened out the floor (for both burb and tahoe) giving more leg room in the 3rd row.

Brother I understand let me first say this I’m a GM employee my very 1st Truck ever 2016 Chevy Tahoe and let me tell you I’ve never been so disappointed about a vehicle till now !!!!! Most of them have gotten away from QUALITY FOR QUANTITY!!!! My Dad retired from GM 45yrs They have some Beautiful products but I don’t know about u but I want mines inside outside beautiful able to stand up for at least a 1 yr without major breakdown running bk to the dealership. My buddy who works at GM had a Toyota and he put over 200k on it all it needed oil change
Me personally you already know Think about the Travese that’s just me . I just pray that Our Company wake up and Look & LISTEN AND THEY HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO TAKE #1 in the industry but ppl put they hands over their ears because THEY DONT LISTEN IR WANT TO

When we got there we find out that the stupid manager was driving it as a demo, and had it at his house and had not come in yet for his shift. Had me pretty irritated as we drove 25 miles to check it out. My wife is not sold on the Z71 and prefers the LT. We went to another dealer which has the LT w/Signature Package, 22" wheels, and the entire truck emblems are blacked out. MSRP is roughly $66k, after their discounts/incentives its around $62K. Does that seem like a pretty good price and is there even room to try and negotiate at all?

Are you a costco member? when i bought right before xmas they were doing a 1k rebate.

Where i got my dealer to negotiate was on the trade. when i started the deal vs end i got them to come up 3500 more. but every dealer is different.
