I’ve used a heavy ratchet strap tightened up around the circumference of the tire while inflating it. Sometimes you need to go up to 45 psi to get it to pop into place.
Tire monitor delete? Anyone?

Also remember to remove the valve stem core so not to restrict airflow when trying to get it to seat

I tried to wake my new ones up by putting them in the tube and tying it to a rope and spinning it over my head. All that did was make me look like a dumbass and I about hit myself a few times.

Interesting. Now I don’t have to pay the tire shop if I ever need new sensors lol I despise going anywhere if I can do it myself... but then I run into the problem of not having a trust worthy mechanics when I need it
I think I remember those. But a 2 lb chunk of PVC tube can be dangerous I found out. The problem seemed to be when it was time to stop spinning it. It would have been ok if I just let it go but I figured it would end up in a neighbors yard or worse yet through their window and in their living room, and then the bomb squad would be called in since it DID look like a pipe bomb. Idiot.

I have a 60 gallon compressor and regular 3/8" hose. I just stab the air tool coupler on the valve stem and pull up on the tire. It starts pretty easily and seats with around 35-40psi (guessing). Stock-size tires and wheels aren't a problem.

You can remove the valve from the stem to get better flow into the tire to overcome air that escapes due to not being seated.

Yup. I left out that detail in that last reply. Actually, you can see the core remover/multi-tool on the back bumper in that pic I posted.
