Hello

Newbie here with my first post. Just bought 2020 SLT with factory 285/45/22 tires. In an effort to smooth out the harsh 45 series ride, i would like to install a set of factory 18" rims with 275/65/18 tires same diameter as the current (32.1").

Increasing the aspect ratio on the tires and installing Helwig sway bars to remove some of the lean, would hopefully improve the ride for my needs, around town mostly with some highway trips , no towing, no rough roads here in Florida

Please share your thoughts on some things i may have overlooked.

dropping 4 inches will be a pretty big difference. dropping to a 20 instead of straight to an 18 and focusing more on a comfort related tire can probably get you what you want also. not all tires of the same size are created equal. so a tire focused more on comfort will noticeable feel better than a standard tire in the same size category.

Use 18” rims with winter tires and notice the improved ride after changing over every fall:2cents:

I’ve run Blizzaks on some older cars I’ve had. They are unbelievable when it comes to driving in the snow.
