Ok, not the thermostat. Another issue I haven't spent time to fix. Obd port no longer works. Crawled under and no wires disconnected grounded etc I could see. So I can't scan with my reader.

Common issue for blend motor? I know of Silverado there is some resistor pack deal on the passenger side and a harness that goes bad. Perhaps that's the issue here?

Oh, I guess the resistor pack is for the blower motor. That's not my issue it blows are fine on all speeds, just cold air.

Sounds to me like something with the heater core is plugged up... I may have to take both lines off and backflush it.

The vehicle is running dexcool, it has always used dexcool.

Our 2001 wasn't putting out heat in the front last year. I checked the blend door actuator and it was working, so I back flushed the heater core. That fixed it.

Up here to the right
Working nice and hot now.
Care to elaborate? While it’s great and that you fixed it and it’s appreciated you let everyone know, it would help even further if you posted your fix for someone else that may be experiencing this.

Depending on outside air temp and if the resurc air button is not pressed, the coolant temp has to overcome OSA temp being allowed into the cabin.

Here in SoCal if that resurc button isn’t pressed It’s usually the case affecting the AC temp being slow to come down.

Just stating the obvious everybody’s already aware of but I seem to believe the motor on the rear lift gates broken whenever the kids accidentally turn the button to manual off at the overhead console [emoji3]

I back flushed the heater core as I said I was going to do. That fixed the issue.
