lol, of course not. the answer to more mods is always yes.

but i agree with dub, the vague-ness of that summit converter is what i wouldnt be sure of its more likely geared towards camaros. circle d (or converter manufacturer of your choice) will take into account vehicle and mods. and i think the 278mm from circle d is the same price, 599?

the cam i had in my 6.2 was very similar 218/228 iirc, it will like some converter. i could prob send you the tune from back then and be pretty close

Went to the shop today to do more tear down and got the engine out. The damage could have been a lot worse if I'd actually been driving when the valve seat let loose. The block is definitely salvageable and will most likely get a rebuild and go into my 06 SD someday. The crank may not be able to be reused though. Here's some pictures.

Wanted to correct that in case others that don't know the prior story read it and might get scared of their leaky valve seals. lol

That wouldn't be any real loss. The crank will have to come out anyway to have the reluctor ring changed to run it on a Gen3 harness and PCM.

IMO, it's kind of a toss-up. IIRC, the Comps call for significantly less preload than stock lifters. I'd research to see which, if either, would complement the cam better than the other.
