It’s ok. The seat is a seat and the dash isn’t all dented up. It doesn’t matter to me anyway. All I’m gonna use is the cab, bed, fenders and doors. Everything else is going. I’ll start with a new frame. I’m gonna build the motor myself. Then the suspension and air management system, fuel cell, brakes, wiring, install the motor, and then tub the cab, bed and fenders. Install the cab and fenders, have someone paint everything then install the bed. I have no time frame and the $$$ stuff will have to wait for 8-10 months so it will be a slow start. I’ll start a build thread when I actually start on it. Right now it’s just a pile of parts waiting to take shape.
It's good you have a plan. Does it run and drive?

Yes except the fuel pump just went out. He’s my neighbor and was driving it 2 weeks ago but the pump just went out, and I’m not going to replace it since I’m not sure what I’ll need in the way of a fuel pump, that will depend on the fuel cell and ECU I end up with. My other neighbor who’s buying the engine has a truck to put it in and it already has a fuel pump.

I pulled the alternator off The Machine, split the case and painted it in engine enamel.

My neighbor bought a ‘14 Silverado WT and has been attempting to do some stuff to it. I thought he was doing a lot of work since he’s been working on it for 4-5 days but he only installed a roll pan, chrome tow hooks, chrome grill and chrome wheels. Yech. I stopped by today to see what his plans were and to see about snatching the rear bumper. He said he is having a shop lower it 7/4 (we will see) and he wants to bag it. Then he said he wants to eventually get it down like mine. I just smiled and said cool. The guy doesn’t have a clue on how to do anything and you can see from how he removed the rear bumper. He said he had to cut it all up to remove it and I’m like wtf. He was going to take it to the dump so it was free. The idiot cut through the plastic step pads instead of popping them off. But the rest is fine, so I’ll just have the chrome stripped and PTM and buy new step pads. It has 2 tiny dents that I’ll fill after it’s stripped. I have been looking on eBay and wrecking yards and they want anywhere between 300-500 for one of these. It’s a spring project though. The price was right.

Couldn’t figure it out I’m sure. The dude usually just buys all SS’s or Vettes and has a tune done on them and loud exhaust, doesn’t do anything himself except wash them constantly. He just sold a TBSS and a Cadillac CTS-V that was pretty sweet and a couple others. He’s definitely not a mechanic.

That should make climbing way up into the bed of your truck a lot easier with that bumper on there...;)

Great score! I put one of those on my bud's '07 Sierra. It's a nice fit.
