Nice looking ride! I know they are pricey, but the best snow tires I have ever used are the Blizzak’s. They pretty much take the fun out of driving in snow. I had set on my Highlander and I never came close to getting stuck.

Looks good. Good luck with it.
Why good luck?

I’m going with duratracs lt 270/70/r18

I’m pretty much done doing mods for now. I’d like to install my RXP twin catch can but I’ll wait till I’m done with my 2 free oil changes at the dealership. I’ve been reading that it’s a touchy subjects with the warranty and there’s no instruction on how to install this just some awkward videos .

Ummm, because it’s new and I’m wishing you well?

There is a law in the US called the Magnesum-Moss Act which basically says a manufacturer has to prove that said modifications caused a failure or problem. Not sure if Canada has anything similar but it’s worth looking into.

good luck with it

Love the look! I would consider tinting the front 2 windows. But that is just me.

This made me giggle. Coming from a Civic you must be positively aghast. How long before you trade it in?

No but seriously, nice rig. How do you like the Corsa exhaust?

Thx!

Aghast Yeah for sure LOL but it’s wearing off . No way I’m getting rid of it ,the whole family loves it. Go big or go home!. Pleasantly surprise how this truck maneuvers around.

Life is short man.Do it right the first time. Playing Snowrunner made me respect and see trucks in a whole different light.I wanted the iconic 7th gen suburban at first but wifey said nope! Something to do with “ not secure” , “no side air bags” “ no elegance” and all that jazz

I enjoy the SI it’s a fun ride, it’s my daily. It is 2 extremes , big burdan for family travels and Si for its daily grind zippyness ,2.0 and red line at 8600rpm. I like auto/truck diversity .

I love the Corsa❤️❤️❤️ .Cold start is soooo intoxicating and putting the hammer down there’s like almost a backfire when the trans shifts at higher rpm speed. It makes the truck sound like a camaro SS or high performances V8. Sounds mean but when the engine is at operating temperature it burbles at idle and at cruise speed pretty quiet like a steam locomotive . In v4 it has a distinctive sound like a pronounced humming when cruising , drone maybe?I mean the truck is pretty well isolated, kids and wife reported hearing more the rumble in the back but no way did they say that it bothers them, they love it too lol.

Haha I hear you. My Suburban has been an absolute God-send for our family and was my holy grail of vehicles. So glad to have it. While I daily my Suburban most of the winter and spring, I do have a fun hot rod to drive in the summer months to keep the miles off the Burb, kind of like your situation.

Funny what you say about Snowrunner, I was just discussing it with my 10 year-old son the other day. I said "daddy is going to get this game for himself", haha. Still haven't pulled the trigger yet...how is it?

And I liked the Corsa too but found it might be a little *too* raucous for me. I have my eye on a Gibson system at the moment but that mod is scheduled for FY 2021, according to my CFO/wife.

Again welcome, and if you ever have time post some videos of the truck I'd love to hear it. As has been suggested here, look into tint for the front windows...here's mine. I think it really looks good on the black trucks.

Had a CVPI. It was a fun car to drive. The 4.6 Panther was the only good Ford ever built. Sold it to a 16 year old for 1500 bucks with 300K miles on it. I would have kept it for a second vehicle if insurance was not so high in South Florida.

The only good replacement for the CVPI is the PPV Tahoe. Some police agencies in Broward County went directly from the CVPI to the PPV Tahoe back around 2011-2012 and are sticking with the PPV Tahoe.

It's a ton of fun. I've added 4.10's with a limited slip, a ported and polished upper plenum and throttle body, a custom tune and a Mercury Marauder rear sway bar. It cooks. Nice little sleeper.

Most agencies around here like the Tahoe as well but it is too expensive, a good 10-15k over an Explorer FPIU on state bid. Don't see many.
