There is a guy on fb market place that sells the iPad mounting plates. I've also seen a tyf member that did that conversion on a nnbs tahoe. Have you tried the search bar?

i saw a guy on youtube that did it. My father in law has one in his cessna airplane. He gave me the link for that guy who made that mounting bracket. Just was curious if guys were doing it and what they though after some time with it in.

I'm redoing mine. I'm about $60 in materials and a little elbow grease. I think its coming along pretty good. Been working on it for 2 days. Im doing a 8.4" Samsung Tab A 2020. Still debating on wireless charging.

Found a guy on ebay that 3D printed a kit for like $15 and using a Metra 108-gm2b kit. Married them together! Not finished but coming along pretty nice.

I'm using a Sony radio media player behind it. They have the best radio app in my opinion.

Neo magnets are your friend for most car audio fab related stuff. Holds tight and easily removable if you need to service anything. Here’s a video of a friend of mine who did one in an Escalade (2012) used a small motor to release iPad when needed.

My only tip would be to remember to have your lighting cable/ charging plugs in the back.

Have a video of it moving and locking into place but couldn’t upload it.

I love magnet mounts but plz be careful. You get in a wreck or slam the brakes and that iPads now a flying projectile.. I’ve seen some f’ed up things happen inside vehicles where radars, speaker pods, mounts were not mounted securely.
