I cleaned my throttle body and did the idle relearn but if idling in park at 600ish, I can tap my throttle and the idle shoots up to 3000 and takes forever to come back down unless I hold the brake hard and put it in gear, then it'll drop down and then go in gear. . Whats up with that? I got a trip to go on Friday and need it not to screw up on me

Hey kenny... give a few days with stop and go driving with highway and it will get back to normal... it’s gotta relearn. there is a procedure and it has to be done before you key on or something

That's what I gather, I did the idle 3 min, off 1 min, idle 3 min.

the initial relearn is just so the computer can learn how to keep the engine running and operating. after that it has to relearn how to run it efficiently again.
