My rear blower isn’t turning on at any speeds, but there’s power on the red and black wire before the resistor. If I just connect the red and black wire to the motor it turns on which makes me think there’s something wrong with the controls, but I don’t know where I should look

It appears that you are you saying that a direct connection of the hot wire to the blower motor results in the blower motor spinning. Probably spinning at a high speed with the direct connection? If yes, then the first thing that I would check is the resistor module with an ohm meter. If the connection is open and not showing a measurable resistance, then I recommend replacing the resistor module. Rock Auto has replacement resistor modules as a reasonable price.

Knowing your year, make, and model/trim of your truck will make it easier for other folks to chime in more accurately with their suggestions.

Hey, the car is a 2006 Tahoe z71 with a 5.3 L engine. I thought it was the resistor too, and I already replaced that, that’s why I think it has something to do with the controls or the computer

I figured it out, there was a fuse labeled L3 which is the control power. I checked the fuses first, but I didn’t realize L3 concerned the rear blower
