My XM in '18 Tahoe Z71 will cut out quick if I'm going under a bridge or even just driving near tall trees even on the interstate. Anyone else have this problem? I've had Xm/Sirius in other vehicles. My last vehicle had a portable unit and I installed the little puck antenna for it and it almost never cut out, even going under bridges, unless it was a large one. I'm wondering can you add an aftermarket antenna for this system and make it better?

In general the connection/antenna blows in the 15-20’s. Make sure you don’t have a connection issue though. Sometimes the fin leaks and could compromise the connection.

l have had this issue on all of my Suburban of this generation as well as in my Ford Fusions when going under a wide bridge at a relatively slow speed. Any time the signal is blocked, you will lose reception.

Normally there is a 5 sec. of program in the XM just for small bridges and the like ,any longer under or behind a blockage it will cut out kind of like a delay broadcast.. On my 2015 Tahoe LS it takes about 5 sec. to drop then pops on as soon as you clear the obstruction

Where is the first place to look when troubleshooting the "Signal may be blocked issue?" Worked fine one day and now after about a 20 minute drive it may connect for 2-3 second bursts here and there otherwise nothing..
