Hello all,
I have 2008 Yukon SLT with navigation. The problem I have is the GPS cuts in and out. I can just be driving along and I will have a red line through the GPS symbol and it will show me off the side of the road and then just cut back in and start working again.

I also need to probably upgrade the firmware. How does one come up with a disc for this?

Last thing, my XM radio doesn't work. It will say searching for channels and never finds them.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Jeff, you may have a bad coax cable, antenna and or the GPS antenna. The navigation disc was last updated in 2016 and I keep pestering GM and Here! but so far no luck. Get a Tech-2 or bi-directional scan on your truck and look at the internal body module codes which will tell you where the problem lies.

I think the GPS antenna is somewhere in the dash if i'm not too far off. I am going to pull the head unit and check the connections, Ill look at the antenna then. If not, Tech 2 it is. Thank you

Yes, the one GPS antenna is just under the top of the dash, the other is integrated with the shark fin.

Here's where it is at 17:47 or so in this how to video:
