Is there a difference in using a driver side on the passenger side and vice versa as far as replacing the cylinder head
So can I use a passenger side head on the driver side

The ONLY difference is one used on the passenger side will have a plug screwed into the coolant temp sensor port. If swapping heads, be sure to remove and keep the plug if you'll need it, depending on what head you're swapping to where.
