I just pulled the front door panels on my NBS off and remembered how damn easy they CAN be. There’s only (2) 7mm screws and ZERO clips, just hooks that the panel hangs with. No door handle cable to remove, the handle remains on the door. My NNBS is a PIA and always wants to break a clip. Way more stuff to take apart too.

Thats why i hope my speakers hold up...

Operation Quiet Down is entering phase 2. My U channel weatherstrip for the leading edge of the rear door lower arrived on Saturday but it rained so much no chance to install. I will put it on today. Wish I had a DB meter so I could measure. the before and after. I have some dynamat I hope I dont have to use it. Its a pain pulling door panels off.
In a pinch, there are sound meter smartphone apps that will work pretty well for before-after comparison purposes.

I haven't done anything to mine. But I've started to hear the telltale clunk of a broken motor mount. So that's coming soon.

In other news, last night my nephew stopped by the house to pick up something. He left his vehicle running. It had a nice, deep lopey idle. I started to ask what he was driving, and did a double-take, as it was his NBS Escalade. He'd put an aftermarket cam, long tubes and an aftermarket muffler on it. Wow. I really liked it. Got me thinking...maybe the broken mount and exhaust manifold bolts are a sign. :D:D:D

Is there a soft, thicker, rubbery part on that to help seal against the door edge?

No the weatherstrip is hard rubber. No glue needed. It is noticeably quieter with the additional weatherstrips....

The problem with making your vehicle quieter is you now hear ALL THE OTHER CREAKS AND NOISES your Denali makes....

So I just turned up the stereo
