Seems it would be better to have actual mileage showing in order to do maintenance so you don't have to constantly do the math. I know when I do maintenance on mine I like to know if it has 125 k, 150k, etc. Plus all my maintenance records go back quite a ways and are recorded on actual mileage at the time.

You are correct RR, thinking back, I think I had 199k B4 I put in wife's yuk, and she only put a couple thou on it as she never went anywhere. Lol.
I do have a ritual when I get different vehicle, and that is change all fluids, because most owners ignore most fluids and sum skip o/f changes. So I can start maintenance intervals @ new clusters "000000" miles. I worked with a guy who never changed oil and got mad when motor locked up after a couple year's. He didn't save money like he thought he would, ha!
I do wish I had corrected milage, I highly recommend it all.

I am looking at scanners and apps that they work with for iPhone. Anybody have any that work good together? For trans temp readings

Dash command. But trans temp will cost extra. And won't work with most Bluetooth "scan tools" but will with wifi

Pretty much elm 327 obd2 yeah. They are abiut 20 bucks on Amazon. The orange and blue one is what I have. Works fine...

Just an update on what I ended up using for the transmission gauge. I decided on this option because I could transfer this to another vehicle if or when I sell this one. I can have 4 different gauges up at a time and I can change them at any time. It also can scan for diagnostic codes.

In app purchase after installing dash command iirc, you just purchase the GM package for like 9.99
