Did your wheel come out of a work type vehicle? Chevy Express, work pickup? Non leather wrapped usually does. Just curious.

So I got it from a guy who originally bought it for a work van not realizing he needed a 99-02 wheel. I’m sure it probably did come out of a work truck or base model Tahoe or van etc.

Back in the 90's amps were very expensive. I had a ADS PQ-20 (look it up) I paid 780.00 new and you could run it off your stock alternator. Had two 8'' subs and a pair of 6X9's in the back rear window of a 78 Trans Am. At the time that was a decent system only one other guy had a better system than me with two PQ-20's in a IROC-Z. Before the ADS I had a Rockford amp. Systems are much cheaper now compared to years ago. I have been looking at those DC amps since following your build. I like the new 20k it's only 3 grand.

yeah compared to back in the day it’s definitely cheaper dollar per watt for stuff but now people are running like 40k watts in comp rigs it’s not uncommon to see that much power and 100+ lb subs

Did you have rust in those sensor holes ?

surprisingly no they were fairly clean there was a little corrosion but not a lot

You really want to drive the ''Squishy Kid'' Tahoe another 200k.. When I see all these newer trucks everywhere I think man I would really like a different truck. Had my Tahoe ten long years and never done a burnout it just hooks up. Tires last a long time maybe too long.
Well I have so much invested in it now that it’s like my black 69 c20 I can’t imagine getting rid of it at this point lol.

When I originally cleaned everything up audio wise I ran out of green heat shrink so my power runs on the alt always had black and it’s dumb but it always irritated me to look at and I got them switched out to green today. Also better view of the battery delete and washer bottle that my tires won’t desroy

Small update.
After seeing how nasty my intake was I decided before it gets that way again I was gonna try to prevent it so my catch can came today in the mail. Went with a cheap amazon one. After some research it seemed that most people even some turbo guys were either using cheap eBay/amazon ones or full blown custom there wasn’t much in between. It’s working so far hopefully I won’t regret it but I don’t think it will hurt anything. For being cheap it’s actually pretty damn solid and seems well made. Ground stud by the booster worked perfect to mount it. Cut my pcv hose in half basically and added this in line.

Battery delete under the hood is done. Used a 1/2” piece of plastic for it. Basically like cutting board material. Simple and easy plus made room for my hid ballasts and demon eye controller.

Finally got a new window wash reservoir but not the most excited on where it’s at. It works for now but I think I might try to hide it more.

Also Went down to the hardware store and picked up some stainless bolts and countersunk washers to replace the fender and hood bolts.
