Great work on the lines. That shit takes a bit of a learning curve. I did some hardlines for the transmission on my c-10 that had some complex bends and had to match (hard line to frame then -6AN to trans). Kudos on a job well done. I approve

found pics. Iphone 4 quality...

also, i need to run those two lines :emotions122: to an additional trans cooler though, i havent had much luck with the tru-cools they seem to leak after a few months on me- on the coil, not at the fittings. they work awesome though.

i put the exhaust midpipe on, i just need to throw in o2 on the crossover and wideband o2 on the downpipe and thats should all be wrapped up.

i loomed up and tied off the wiring for the hydro pump and electric waterpump.

driveshaft i need to call and see wtf if they can make it happen.

the belt hunt has not been going very well. i think i may be able to modify and mount the stock tensioner to take up some slack on the next size up belt though after a quick mock up.

got home.... not much to do. threw those o2 sensors in.
made up the drain/return line for the power steering. i had a length of ptfe hose that already had an end on it so i said screw it and laid it out and threw another end on it. after i put it in a straight would work better so i tried to pull that end off and swap it but the ptfe hose pulled out of the jacket so i made the hose over again but i didnt have a ferrule and reused one off the other hose.
put it all together, powered it up, system pumped through...moved wheel end to end, reservoir calmed and quieted down after all the air got out. pumped the brakes a few times andddd... psssshhhhhh. :anitoof: it blew the hose end, i'm guessing on the side that i reused the ferrule. dumped 30bux worth of this pentozin eps fluid crap.

fluid all over everything under the hood, just washed everything all down and blew it out with the leaf blower. kind of reaffirms my choice to do it all in hard tubing

Sooo I turned it on a let it run a while...
First pic is water pump lights etc, 24.3 amps.
Second pic is when the hydro pump comes on, draws 9+ amps and then settles to Bout 5 amps running with no load

with load on the other hand  steering is still really no load because its not on the ground it went up to about 15 amps. brakes (hydroboost) i saw the amps go up to like 88amps (-24amps for everything else) the pump draw was about 65 amps lol. for that short period of time atleast. tried to to just barely hold the pedal ,"light braking", for example sitting at a stop light with foot on the brake...was still like 25-30amps. this was all without the truck running, battery sitting around 12v.... with truck running 14+ volts it may be a little bit better

sooooo i had been just turning it over a few times to try and get some oil moving around - with injector and fpcm fuses pulled so it wouldnt start.

figured i'd give it a shot...started up pretty easy but without the maf sensor it doesnt really like to idle. so i put just the one piece of intercooler pipe on with the maf and it started up and idled for a while. brought it up to temp, let water pump and hydro pump run for a while, checked for leaks - had some on the fuel lines under the truck...not sure why but they tightened back up and no more leaks.

Let it run for a while with no belt on the alt cause i still dont really have much of a solution. but i tried a continental stretch belt that i tried to put on a while ago but seemed to be way to tight and flexed the alt over a hair (straight edge across the alt and crank) on paper it should have been good, or even loose- as its marked for 34.4" effective...when i measure its 34.2". so i put it back on just to see if it would stretch out a little after running for a while.

cant really see amps on the hptuners scan, so going by volts just at idle if i hit the brakes my volts only drop from 14.4>14.2 so its not really dragging the electrical system down or anything. i may up the wire size to the hydro pump....what im using i found on ebay just the correct connectors pigtailed with like 10' of wire.... it is a #8awg, and would prob be fine as it's only like 5' of wire and the high amps is only for at best 10-15 seconds. dunno i may just keep an eye on it
