yup thats the area i was referring to. very odd cylinder wear still. and at 25,000 miles too. id pass on that as a go fast short block.

I don't know that exact part numbers on what pistons but its a full **** rotating assembly and I believe one of their more budget friendly options. likely not as much R&D into preventing such wear. This is one of the reasons I haven't built a stroker yet. I'm really curious to know what the culprit is determined to be.

No its pretty old I'd say 4 or 5 years since the previous owner built the motor and I think he did it himself. Just glad my buddy caught the low oil pressure before it became no oil pressure and a windowed block or tore up the precious heads. Those PRC 247cc heads are not cheap!

things are happening fast now. thats the same as the old cam?

my SS is under the knife this week too, dropped it off friday for the pro charger and the trans cooler install. cant wait to get it back.
Same exact specs. I didn't want to go for a retune. Plus the tech guy told me the stage 4 is maybe another 10 horses--forgot the tq tho. I'm good with this one--for now :D

...But we found its actually a
Towmax Stage 1 208/216 | .561"/.561" | LSA113+4.

So no point in putting it in my tahoe. However it would be a great cam for a 4.8 or 5.3 that wants towing torque if anyone is interested I'll probably post it up for sale.

Either mine is much bigger than I thought or that one is tiny for a 408! Mine is 212/218 | .550"/.550 | LSA114

Its an itsy bitsy cam and pretty much a waste of good cubic inches and badass heads. The next cam will likely be in the range of 23x/23x .630/.630 on a tighter LSA like a 111-112. Unless he disregards all my suggestions goes big dick swinging and gets something that he wont be able to tow with. I hope not because I always end up towing his crap around :rotflmao:
