Hey everyone. After searching Autotrader, Cargurus, and Craigslist literally every single day for at least three months, about a month ago I bought a 2003 Tahoe LT 4WD, one owner with only 94,000 miles. It is in just about as good of shape as a 17 year old, 94,000 mile vehicle can be. I plan to put the vehicle as close to new condition as possible and will likely only do minor mods (tint, audio system, and tweak the suspension a little to decrease the factory rake for starters).
I titled this thread 2003 Tahoe #2 because I had an ‘03 Tahoe from 2006-2008 also. Sadly, my young self wrecked that one. What brought me to buying this vehicle was the reliability, comfort, towing abilities, and interior space. I’m also a major fan of depreciated vehicles, also ;)

I’ve been members of several other forums throughout the years and hope to contribute to and gain from this forum over the next several years.

P.S. I’m currently looking for the body mount torque specs, so if you’ve got access to that info, please share it on the thread I created for it!

Welcome to the forum from Oregon and post some pics when you can.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Welcome from Miami Beach Rob!

Check out the 2003 section as that would be most helpful for any issues you have [or any questions] for your Tahoe.

Will do. I see you're from Oregon, which is where my Tahoe spent the first 14 years of its life, Springfield to be specific. I attribute much of the good condition-ness of the vehicle to the mild climate that area has.

Yea, I live in Eugene, Oregon. No rust problems here and right now the temp is 64 degrees. I lived in KC, Mo. for lots of years and had to deal with winter and summer extremes and salt on the roads. This weather is definitely way better. The members here that are dealing with rust, high 2 digit or 3 digit temps and high humidity are suffering.

For the next several days it is supposed to be mid 70's to upper 70's.

Too funny, this thing has a ton of service records from Kendall Chevrolet there in Eugene. The owners moved to the Orlando, FL area back around 2016 and then the service records just stopped. I'm guessing the dealer they had it serviced at in FL just didn't report to Carfax. Thanks for the welcome, btw.

I am a resident manager at a self storage facility and I am within 1/8 mile of Kendall Chevy. I bought my 02 Tahoe from a tenant here and they were the only owners and had all work done at Kendall Chevy and I got all those records when I bought the rig.
