Manners Really. Those would of been some great pictures for forum members to see who have never been to Detroit or Dearborn. They wrap these new trucks up in a Camo Zebra wrap so nobody can get a good look at the new body lines when they test drive these Trucks out on the public streets.

IMO.. if you wanna start throwing “real truck” around. I’d say anything from 92-06 falls in that category. 2007 is when they started to pretty them up. And 15 is when they got sharp. (Just retired my 00’ Tahoe and bought myself a 15 yukon Denali). I’m gonna enjoy my girlie truck lol

I agree with you in principle. I started to work for GM in 92. I left in 07. My final launch was on the GMT 900. The best trucks were prior to 94. The hydro-formed frames started with the GMT 800 in 94 - 06. GM merged its car and truck engineering divisions in 2005. The GMT 900 was the last Series actually designed by real "Truckers". They were forced to remove 1/2 the cost of the previous GMT 800 design. They pulled it off but the stress forced many of the true truck engineers to depart for other endeavors.

After 2014 the same groups that engineer the Traverse and Enclave minivans are the chief engineers for the Full Size trucks.

All said, I enjoy driving your version of truck more than mine. Its more refined, but IMO, its less a truck, which was my original point.

I dont disagree, worked for General motors and have built and driven many mules and prototypes. I seriously doubt that vehicle was a "Mule" it looked like at least a gamma or non salable build. At that stage I would expect those kind of troubles to be detected at Milford not Woodward

I would expect someone that has been making engines for this long to have everything done correct i suspect the new AFM broke

they only cleaned it up because of MPG, the gains are significant considering on Engine only I can get 22mpg City with the 6.0L(on ICE only 100%)

26MPG-31MPG on the highway.(it's how you drive that matters.)
100% ICE.

Sure it has the battery but it's 12 years old and pretty much completely worn out and probably only has about 10-15% capacity left..

AFM should be made an option....worse thing to ever happen to GM V8s

The 2021 Suburban probably just ran out of fuel. The driver probably did not want to stop to get fuel and be asked a bunch of questions from other motorists there. If I was there I would be checking it out and asking questions.

Perhaps, but the fact that there were two GM trucks with flashing lights (either of which could have brought fuel) blocking the truck into the turnaround suggests that it was more involved than adding a couple of gallons to get it back to the Warren Tech Center, they were waiting for a tow truck.

Anyway Im glad my higher self overruled the bad because my initial thought was to turnaround and get a picture to post on this forum, which would not have been representative of higher self for sure! You might be successful stopping and just asking questions.
