This morning i started up my truck. Ran fine for about 10 seconds then started iding rough ive replaced all igniton wires and plugs only to have the problem remain. The most bizzare thing is, its not firing on 3 of the passenger side cylinders. I pulled the ignition wire off the ignitor coil and distributor and cranked it over. The ignitor coil sounds like its not getting the signal to fire on all 8.

Looks like you found it! Ignition Module or Distributor cap. Probably cap if spark strong. Be sure to check codes and fuel pressure. But since you are guessing, so am I. Cap- Delco or United dcr- 820X. Module - Delco or Delphi.

Be sure to check the pickup coil wiring, inside the distributor, to make sure the insulation is not rubbed off and that the wires are still attached at the center area. If broken, seen a lot of them, the engine typically does not start at all but the wire could be just making contact, barely. I would definitely check that cap for arcing and cracks. Replace rotor if you do the cap. May need to run a compression check but not yet.
