My Z71 seems lower than it should

Depends on how far out the alignment is as to damage done to tires. If it drives straight and steering wheel is fairly centered and the air pressure is good, you will likely be ok but watch for any wear, on a daily basis. I am not a fan of the spacers but I am not saying they are unsafe. In your case I would do the spacers and wait on the same type wheel and new tires and get new wheels then if wanted to.

@Big Mama I haven't aligned it yet, I am debating on whether I should get wheel spacers first. Now that I have raised the Tahoe it looks kinda top heavy I want to push the wheels out to widen the stance. I am having a problem finding 2 inch hubcentric wheel spacers that aren't $200.

I was gonna suggest spacers but figured you'd ask or just get them if they were even an idea in your mind. I wanted spacers on mine for the same reason- it looked too narrow for the height. I lifted mine 2" front, 1" rear and installed 1.5" hub-centric spacers. I've since lowered it and the spacers are now on my brother's Sierra Z71. I had very minimal rubbing at full lock with the 1.5" and OEM size tires. 2" would rub even harder, but with yours being a little higher, it may even out and barely rub.

These are what I had: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GQECY16/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I run my Tahoe hard and my brother's no more gentle with his truck, pulls trailers, etc. Never a problem. All That was needed was to trim the unthreaded tips off the lug studs. Also, I would've preferred 2" for the rear to even out the track width with the front. But, two different sizes of spacers was more expensive than four of the same size and I was just doing it for a quick and cheap change of appearance.

@iamdub I have heard that you need to get spacers that are at least 1.75 inches thick or you will have to cut the wheel studs on the truck, that is why I was going for 2 inches. I would prefer to get these 1.5 inchers if they will fit. Will I run into any problems down the road as far as installing other wheels because of cutting the tips off my wheel studs?

Not at all. There's about 3/8" of unthreaded and rounded-off tip and well as a little bit of threaded area protruding from the lug nut when they're tightened. You're just cutting off the unthreaded excess. If you get the 2" ones for the rear, you'll only have to trim the front ones, if you wanna factor in labor in your decision to splurge on them.

Lemme see if I can dig up some pics from my build thread...

@iamdub Thank you, I have ordered them already. I am finishing up my truck with brakes, sway bar links, and wheel spacers next weekend. And then an alignment.

I had adapters to fit a set of Ford lug pattern wheels for a couple of years that were 2” until I could afford new wheels. I got them on eBay seller mywheelspacers I’m not sure if he has a website with that name but they were under $100 a few years back.
