If you ever empty the system replace the shrader valves. The special tool is inexpensive.

I'm considering just emptying the system tonight, replacing the valve, vacuuming it out and then refilling the entire thing. It looked like the same valve as a tire and I have that removal tool.

Unless they changed the size design the tool for the a/c shraders is bigger.

That's what I was worried about. I don't see any AC Valve tool at Harbor Freight so I guess I gotta stop by Auto zone. They might have the master valve set for rent which I will end up never returning lol.

I don't know if gm did it as well, but ferds you could swap the whole fitting by itself.

Well got the old one out and it doesn't look terrible but I replaced it anyway. Now to sit and relax for 30-45mi ites while the little pump chugs away!

Already killed 5 minutes wiping down the engine bay with VPR from The Chemical Guys. Guy at the carwash suggested it and they had it at Wally world. $7 for a bottle and $5 for 20 microfiber towels. Now the engine bay looks all purty. 20200526_183503.jpg 20200526_183509.jpg 20200526_182117.jpg

Well sucked it out and let it sit for 15 minutes. It held 29psi of vacuum so I moved on to refilling. Put one 12oz can in with the truck in and compressor running. It sucked it down quick and the pressure readings jumped fast! To fast and to high. I think the orface tube is blocked maybe.

Never done an orface tube before has anyone else?
