My 2008 Tahoe LTZ 5.3 Flex fuel is having a word problem. It was running fine and then after cutting it off, it was like the battery power had suddenly drained and it would only make a single click and the interior lights were really dim. Took it to a local shop where they diagnosed it as a starter. The starter was replaced but I am having the same problem. The only way I can get it to crank is by removing the negative cable turn the light switch on and leave it awhile. But once I cranked it a few times it repeated the problem. The battery checks out fine but I noticed the negative cable terminal gets really hot. It only does this on the negative side. Before it does this I sometimes get a stabilitrack error. But it goes away when I recramrk it and all seems fine for a few cranking cycles and the whole process repeats. I am now getting a permanent check engine light which it wasn't doing before. These are the codes I'm getting ri GB ht now, C0900, C0561, B0790, U0140, U0121 Amy ideas are appreciated.

The standard response to situations like you are sharing is as follows:

1) Get your battery tested ( How old is it?)
2) Check all of your positive, negative and ground cables for corrosion. (A hot cable indicates poor conductivity)
3) Clean all connection points for above mentioned cables and make sure they are tight.

These vehicles hate low voltage / poor ground conditions with a passion.
