Has anyone put a only cooler on there rigs that can give some input on them. I've been looking at the 40k tru cool and the mishimoto mmtc-k2 cooler. I'd like the 40k cooler and run all an fittings and bypass the factory one but I cant find any information on it. Just wanting to know if anyone has done anything or maybe knows something a little more please let us know thanks.

I added the trucool 40k to my Silverado, I didn't bypass the oem one I just made them run parallel so the fluid goes thru the oem one and then thru the trucool it helped a lot, I don't know if your 15 has the active shutters but there was just enough room to put it behind the shutters I only had to clip a small piece of shutter blade plastic off to be sure it cleared. I have my shutters turned off with a tune but if I have to take it to the dealer I needed it to clear and work. I also did the thermostat bypass. I just ran the lines thru the passenger side plastic trim like how the mishimoto setup does, drilled 2 holes in the plastic and ran the lines thru, I cut the passenger side oem transmission line connector off and fed one part into the trucool and used the end piece and fed the other end back into the oem cooler
it's on page 25 of my Silverado build

Yea theres not much information out there I'm trying to decide if I want to bypass the factory cooler in the condenser or if I was to run it through both. Going to do an lines on everything and trying to determine what all I need to get just wish there was more information out there this topic for our model trucks.

you would just need to take off the passenger side top transmission cooler line (it's a separate piece) and then you could have your fittings made to fit the oem outlet to the trucool and then one to fit the trucool to oem return line. I did basically the same thing to my 12 yukon 3 years ago like I did with the silverado it's never leaked or anything the cooler lines only have about 15 psi

Well I got my mishimoto cooler in the other day. I dont care for how they just use worm clamps and a peice of hose to hold everything together. So I decided to weld on a dash 6 an bung on each side and going to run an lines back to the transmission and I think bypass the stock cooler. Here's some pics of the progress so far.
