Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and hope someone can help. I just found this piece of "tape" sitting on the center console of my 2017 Yukon Denali. Looks like it fell from the inside rear view mirror, or in that area. Can anyone tell me where it needs to go and what it does?

Thanks,
Nick

it's a RFID Tracking Tag. The dealership probably forgot to remove it when you bought your vehicle, or you're being tracked by the NSA, either way I would just toss it.

Here's a little bit of info on how that specific RFID works, I think allot of dealerships use them to keep track of inventory.

Interesting. I always wondered how they could address me by name when I pull into the service bay.
Thanks,
Nick

yes that's what it is for, generally you have to be within 6 feet of the rfid radio for it to be scanned, not something some one could follow you around with like a gps tracker, it's the same kind of antenna placed in some retail packaging usually inside the wall of the cardboard package mostly used for store inventory counting

Looks just like a pass for an express lane or roll road.
