Pulled my passenger door off. Attempt #12 at getting it to shut right. Discovered my speakers were getting wet. Love this truck
I still have yet to pull my front doors to replace all the hinges since both doors are sagging. I'm not looking forward to that repair either. LOL

I've never had good dealings with Dorman so I'm going to say possibly a bad lock mechanism on their part. I would locate a new or even a used ACDelco original from a yard and see if that solves the issue.

There's also the possibility that even if the lock is good the door frame up at the top may be bowed in towards the body causing it to not be fully closed without extra force.

I agree with the Dorman conclusion. Try for a used oem if possible. I had the exact same problem with my 95 Blazer. Did the door hinges and got a used oem latch. Fixed it. Would close tight on the first try.
