Does anyone know if these two items are on the same fuse? I've looked but can't find a burnt fuse, doesn't mean I missed it though.
Wiper is not working and the rear tailgate glass will not pop open. The tailgate itself does work properly.

Thank you for any advice.

They are on the same fuse.its the one all the way on the right last one on the bottom.25amp fuse should be a white fuse.if the shocks on the tailgate are bad the motor will pop that fuse.

usually what happens is this.
the rear wiper and the rear glass are on a "synced" circuit, meaning if the rear wiper arm is operational the glass does not open (safety feature)
if the wiper arm is not "parked" properly in the resting position then the glass will not open
so if the fuse is good then your most likely scenario is the wiper arm motor may be bad
one thing to check is the wire harness that goes thru the upper body and into the rear hatch it can get frayed right there from opening and closing the hatch and cause some problems.
you can see it when you open the rear hatch it will be top dead center in the upper hinge area by the 3rd brake light
I see you just purchased the vehicle, it may be advantageous to grab yourself a tech2 for troubleshooting it's the same tool the dealer use's, clones run about $300 on ebay or china car diags.
with the tech2 you can troubleshoot the wiper issue and practically anything else that may crop up later.
