I've never heard of hydroboost. What is it?

Have you considered doing a hydroboost conversion? Also, you might be able to install 13 inch rotors and calipers from the 07-14 tahoes, you would need 17 inch rims.

Lots of good info on this one from Youtube and Google.

I am probably going to do the hydroboost conversion in the next year or so on my 2003 Tahoe SSV.

Brakes are assisted like your steering system is with power steering. My Tahoe and most likely yours has vacuum assist. Hydroboost uses power steering pressure to assist with braking.

Google Tahoe hydroboost conversion. There is plenty of videos and write ups on doing this conversion. The main reason people do this conversion is to improve braking performance. It is relatively inexpensive, especially compared to a brake kit like is being discussed, and it is straight forward from what I have read so far.
