Recently my battery died twice. After the first time, we checked the battery and it is fine. The second time after recharging and starting the engine we heard the passenger side mirror motor running while the truck was off. It was like the mirror was forcing itself to the end of the stroke and meeting resistance, all while the engine was off. After maneuvering the mirror and getting it to a normal view, it stopped.

Could the mirror be stuck near the end of the stroke?

Could there be a bad gear in the motor?

Could it be the switch although I doubt it as it works fine.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you saying the mirror was gimbaled all the way in one direction and still trying to go further?

Do you have FOB specific seat & mirror settings?
